We design, manufacture and personalize your cards at our own production facility. Because we control every aspect of your personalized charity card we have the power to get things done right, done fast and delivered to you quickly and efficiently.

How To Order 

Pre-versed, non-personalized cards are sold in boxes of 10 cards with coordinating envelopes. The minimum order for personalized cards is 50. Once the minimum order is reached (50 cards), the total quantity ordered can be exactly what you want. (Good Cause Greetings personalized cards are sold individually, not in lots of 25).  

Order confidently on-line by placing items in your shopping cart as you browse the site. Add personalization information as desired. When the order is complete, review it, make any changes necessary, then enter your shipping and credit card information at checkout. Changes to your order may be made at any time. Please list any special requirements in the "Comments" section on the order form. You will not be charged until you add credit card information at final check out

General Questions:

What is a Good Cause Greetings charity card?  A Good Cause Greetings charity card is a holiday or all occasion greeting card designed to support a particular nonprofit organization. When sold, a portion of the proceeds is donated to a registered charitable organization.

How can I tell whether a card is a charity card? All Good Cause Greetings are specially manufactured to be charity cards. The logo, mission statement and contact information of the nonprofit organization that benefits from the sale is printed on the back of each card. Good Cause Greetings has contractual agreements with the charities that benefit from the sale of our cards. These organizations are counting on our support.

How do Good Cause Greetings differ from other charity cards on the market? Many "charity cards" sold today are standard greeting cards available from an assortment of manufacturers. They simply have a sentence or two printed inside the card acknowledging that a donation will be made to a specific charity.  Good Cause Greetings feature unique, original artwork, designed whenever possible to reflect the mission of the nonprofit organization benefiting from the sale of the card. For example, cards in support of literacy feature books in the design, while cards in support of children's charities almost always feature children.

Card/Envelope Questions:

What size are Good Cause Greetings cards?  

    All greeting cards measure 5" x 7".

    Calendar cards measure 5 5/8" x 7 7/8" when folded and 7 7/8" x 16 ½" unfolded. Photo Cards measure 5 5/8” x 7 7/8”.

What is the paper quality? 

The paper is the highest quality 12 pt. coated card stock. Every Good Cause Greetings card is eco-friendly. Chlorine-free recycled paper is used exclusively. All paper is certified by both FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative). 

What kind of ink is used?  All Good Cause Greetings are printed with soy based ink.

Can Good Cause Greetings be recycled? Yes! There is no foil, glitter or other unnatural treatments on Good Cause Greetings charity cards, making them eco-friendly and totally recyclable. 

Is there a minimum order? The minimum order for pre-versed, non-personalized cards is 10. The minimum order for personalized cards is 50. Once minimums are reached, your total order can be whatever your mailing list requires. If you need 205 cards, order 205 cards. Good Cause Greetings does NOT require purchases in lots of 25 cards. Order only what you need.

What kind of envelopes come with the cards? Good Cause Greetings' standard envelope is made from 24-lb. white wove paper and features a square flap.

What options are available in envelopes? Gold or silver foil-lined envelopes or self-sealing envelopes are available. Good Cause Greetings also offers red and green envelopes. Colored envelopes are not recommended for orders with return addresses printed on them. If you want red or green envelopes, please specify your preference in the "Comments" section of your order.


Charity Questions:

How do you choose the charities that are supported by Good Cause Greetings? We are passionate about supporting good causes in a wide array of genres. Feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, providing education, preventing and treating diseases, improving and protecting the environment and promoting the welfare of children and their families are all causes close to our hearts. We look for charities working nationally or internationally with a strong rating by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance ( The charities we support must be operated efficiently, with a significant portion of their resources going toward fulfilling their mission, rather than to overhead and/or fundraising costs.

Can I support a charity not on your list? Absolutely! Our Charity Select Cards and Name Your Charity Cards were designed specifically for this purpose.

How much money do the charities receive? Ten percent of the revenue received for every card sold by Good Cause Greetings goes to the nonprofit organization described on the back of the card. In the case of horrific disasters (September 11, 2001 and Hurricane Katrina, for example), Good Cause Greetings donates 100 percent of the revenue from the sale of cards created specifically to support victims and their families. It is our company policy to never make money from someone else's tragedy. Annual royalties, per charity, have ranged from $500 to over $25,000.

Some charity card companies report donating up to 20% of sales to the charities. Why don't you give at this rate, too? All businesses must balance costs, revenues, demand, competitive factors and more. Good Cause Greetings is confident that we provide an extraordinary product at a better than fair price. Our company policy of adding free logos and signatures to personalized cards and never charging a set-up fee for customization allow us to be one of the most price-competitive charity card companies in today's market. Knowing that every penny counts for our customers, lower prices help us to sell significantly more cards. Considerably greater sales result in sizeable overall royalties.

How can I be sure that the money raised is actually sent to the charities? Good Cause Greetings prepares sales and royalty reports for all of the charities supported by our card sales. These reports are sent with the royalty checks each quarter. The charities acknowledge these check with thank you letters.

Is my purchase tax deductible? No. Although you are the purchaser of the card, it is Good Cause Greetings that actually makes the donation to the charities. (We write the checks!) Your purchase of charity holiday cards may be deductible as a marketing expense.  Check with your accountant for specifics.


Production Questions:

How long will it take to get my order?  Pre-versed, non-personalized cards ship within 24 hours. Personalized orders generally receive a proof within 24-48 hours. Once the proof is approved, the order is printed and shipped within 24-48 hours.

 What does a proof cost? No Charge. All personalized orders of 100 or more cards receive a free PDF proof via e-mail. Actual press proofs are available for $75.

How do I get my logo or signature on the cards? Logos and signatures may be uploaded via the website when your order is placed. They may also be sent via e-mail to PLEASE PUT YOUR COMPANY NAME (or personal name for individual orders) AND THE WORD "LOGO" IN THE SUBJECT LINE of the e-mail. For the best results, send high-resolution tiff, jpg or eps files with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Make sure your image measures at least 2 inches square.

What printing options are available for personalizing my cards? Good Cause Greetings produces all of our products to be easily recyclable. For that reason, we do not use foil either in our card designs or in the personalization. Our standard personalization is printed in black ink. Red or blue ink is available for $30 additional. PMS colors may be specified for $45 in addition to the printing charge. Multi-color printing (2, 3 or 4-colors) is easily accommodated. Are the cards folded? All cards are shipped flat. Folding is available for $.08 per card.

Payment Questions:

Do you take checks? Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Orders may be placed with company purchase orders and paid for by check.

When is my credit card charged? A hold for the amount of the order will be placed on your card when the order is submitted. The credit card won't actually be charged until the order ships.

Shipping Questions:

Once the cards are shipped, when will I get them? Good Cause Greetings is based in Springfield, MA. Our standard shipping is via UPS Ground or Priority Mail. Shipping can be upgraded to faster service when your order is placed. Tracking numbers will be provided via e-mail once your package is logged into the UPS or Priority Mail systems.

Will you ship internationally? Of course! Good Cause Greetings will ship anywhere in the world. We use FedEx for international shipping. Tax ID numbers must be provided for international shipments.

Can you ship to multiple addresses? Absolutely! Our business customers count on us to divide large orders and ship the appropriate quantities to their offices around the globe. A drop ship fee of $7 per US address or $20 per International address plus applicable postage will apply.


Privacy/Security Questions:

What is your privacy policy? Good Cause Greetings guards your privacy carefully. Your name, address, phone and e-mail address are collected at the time of order placement for the sole purpose of producing and shipping your order. Proofs are sent via e-mail and your phone number is required in case we have to contact you with questions on your order. At no time will your contact information be sold to anyone. The only information shared with others is for the delivery of your order via UPS, FedEx or the US Postal Service. Credit card numbers are not kept on file.

We may collect information (including name, address, telephone number, email address, transaction information and credit card information) when you:

We maintain the data that you provide us, along with a record of your purchases, in a secure database.

How We Use Email:

When you provide us your email address, we will email you as necessary to process your order, respond to a request or provide customer service. For example, after you place an order for personalized cards at, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of your order. Another e-mail from us will contain a pdf proof of your personalization. The final e-mail will contain package tracking information.

On a very limited basis, we may also send promotional email about Good Cause Greetings' special offers that we believe may be of interest to you. It is our intent to send promotional emails only to those persons who wish to receive them. We provide instructions on how to unsubscribe in each email.

You can easily determine when you're sending data securely by looking at the web address (URL) in your browser window: the first few letters will change from "http" to "https" when you are transmitting information protected by SSL encryption. The "s" in "https" stands for "secure."
